Fatimah (Kemi) Bello
Fatimah (Kemi) Bello is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Healthcare Organization at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), in the Maternal and Child Health policy track. Prior to that, she received a MPH degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and obtained a medical diploma from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. She has vast experience in project design and implementation and creating partnerships among corporates, donor institutions and Governments with various communities on the African continent. Kemi has worked on research studies and policy issues aimed at improving maternal health which included gestational diabetes, molecular imprinting of maternal weight and cross- national postpartum policies.She is a recipient of the Sparkman’s Center Global Health award 2014/2015 and the HSPH Presidential Scholarship Award 2012/2013.
